This year marked Thrive in Joy’s 11th year participating in Retail Orphan Initiative’s (RetailROI) SuperSaturday event in New York City on January 11th. Representing our team were Mary Fagnano, Executive Director and Co-Founder; Amy Godinez, C11 Program Coordinator; and Elizabeth Rojas, Board Chair. Together, we made numerous meaningful connections with event attendees, further advancing our mission to inspire and empower underserved communities.

Meaningful Connections Abound at Retail Orphan Initiative's SuperSaturday in NYC
We kicked off the new year by attending SuperSaturday, Retail Orphan Initiative's (RetailROI, Inc.) annual event in New York City. It was an honor to be included among 14 nonprofits helping vulnerable children in the U.S. and around the globe.
3rd Annual Winter Wonderland at USC Hybrid High College Prep
The 3rd Annual Winter Wonderland event brought lots of joy to over 160 USC Hybrid High students and their families. 125 children received toys generously donated by USC’s Price School of Public Policy faculty and staff.
Esperanza High School Athletes Were Inspired by C11 Workshop
Thrive in Joy was invited to engage all 122 student athletes at Esperanza High in a C11 workshop. Esperanza High Club Thrive in Joy student leads, Jasmine and Stephanie, helped facilitate the workshops during which students identified people that inspire them.
